Head of School
Gina Bonecutter is the inaugural Headmaster of The Geneva School. She graduated from The Master’s University with a degree in Nouthetic Counseling.
Grammar School Principal
LeeAnn Holt has been involved in classical Christian education for 13 years where she has served as a teacher and now as a principal. She holds her BS in Zoology with an emphasis in cellular biology from the University of California, Davis and her cytology certification from the University of California, San Francisco.
Kindergarten Teacher
Ms. Micallef is excited to be doing what she enjoys most - teaching young children. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent studies in 2010 at Cal State Fullerton, and her graduate studies in Early Childhood Education from Brandman University.
First Grade Teacher
Mrs. Simonji teaches First Grade at The Geneva School and has done so since the school opened. She graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.
Third Grade Teacher
Ms. Song has been teaching at a classical Christian school since 2015. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and a minor in Education.She also received her multi-subject teaching credential and a Master's degree in Education from UCSB.
Kindergarten - Third Grade PE
Deb Ogburn holds her AS in Business Management and has taken several Kinesiology and Nutrition courses.
Fourth Grade Teacher
Leah Griess graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Elementary Education/Earth Science Concentration.
Fifth Grade Math | Third & Fourth Grade Science
Mrs. Lee has been teaching at The Geneva School since 2018 where she loves being able to serve her students and point them to the truth, goodness and beauty found in our one God and Creator. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2004 from the University of California, San Diego. She also earned her CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2014 from Cal State Fullerton.
Fifth Grade Teacher | Medieval Humanities
Shaun Williams has been teaching for the last 16 years. Shaun attended Biola University, earning her Bachelor of Arts in history and studying the Great Books of Western Civilization in the Torrey Honors Institute. She earned a Masters of Arts in philosophy from Loyola Marymount University, attended the Pew Younger Scholars Program at the University of Notre Dame, and did primary research at Harvard University.
Sixth Grade Teacher
Michelle Hahne has been teaching in classical Christian settings for the last eighteen years.She holds her BA in liberal arts and culture with an emphasis in classical education from New St. Andrews College and is almost finished pursuing her MA in historical theology from Westminster Seminary in California.
Ancient Humanities | Seventh and Eighth Grade Writing Teacher
Mrs. Chang grew up in Cerritos, California, then graduated from Cornell University with B.S. in hospitality administration. With a desire to teach the Word in unreached nations, she moved to Nagoya, Japan, where she taught K-4th grade at a Christian international school and also met her husband. Upon her return, she completed her Single Subject Teaching Credential from Biola University.
New Testament & Apologetics | Logic | Ancient Humanities
Mr. Sholar originally grew up in Marietta, Georgia, before moving out to Southern California in high school. He attended Biola University where he received his undergraduate degree in Biblical & Theological Studies.Mr. Sholar then went on to Talbot School of Theology where he received his Master of Arts in New Testament and he is currently working on a Master of Divinity.
Old Testament Survey & Systematic Theology
Jonathan grew up in Southern California in a Christian home. His interest in the study of Scripture, theology, and church history grew while he was in high school and upon graduation, he attended the Calvary Chapel Bible College. After obtaining B.A. in History at California State University San Marcos, he earned a M.Div. at Westminster Seminary California.
Logic School Latin
A native to Southern California, Mr. Aeschliman is excited to be a part of The Geneva School family. Mr. Aeschliman discovered his passion for Classical languages while in the seminary, where he eventually taught both upper level Latin and introductory Biblical Greek for three years.
Sixth through Eighth Grade Math | PE
Kevin Atef has been teaching mathematics for the past seven years. He has a degree in Computer Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a teaching credential from Concordia University Irvine with a specialization in mathematics.
Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Music Teacher and Fifth through Eighth Grade Science Teacher
Prior to landing her favorite role as a wife and mother to five sons, Mrs. Kheriaty studied vocal performance and theater at Indiana University’s School of Music.
Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Art Teacher
Graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Illustration, she has found opportunities to create art wherever she can.
